UIBE Delegation Went to Brazil for MBA Project Negotiation and Speech Tours

On 23 April (Brazil local time), UIBE delegation, led by Zhang Xinminn, the vice president and director of FAAP Confucius Institute for Business, went to Brazil at the invitation of Dr. Antonio Bias, the president of FAAP higher education center in Brazil. The main purpose of this visit was to negotiate with FAAP Higher Education Center on the programs of “MBA Research in Present China” and the “IMBA in Developing Countries.” Issues on courses and financial arrangements have been fully discussed and major agreements on program cooperation have been achieved.

The delegation has discussed program cooperation issues with professor Rogério Massaro Suriani, the leading academic official, Ms. Lourdes Zilberberg ,the director of the international department and headmaster of FAAP Confucius Institute for Business, Ms. Fei Shanshan, the manager of the foreign counterpart and Mr. Inty Mendoza, the director of the postgraduate program of “MBA Research in Present China.” Vice president Zhang Xinmin introduced the development of MBA education in China, and some basic information about UIBE to the Brazil party, including the international and specified characteristics of UIBE, master degrees conferment, Sino-foreign cooperation in education, and fundamental requirements for the foreign students to carry out postgraduates education.

After the meeting, Ms. Celita Procopio de Carvalho, the president of FAAP foundation, the headmaster Dr.Antonio Bias Bueno Guillon as well as vice headmaster Vitor Mirshawka had an interview with our delegation. Mr. Zhang Xinmin said that UIBE is sincere to cooperate and by a practical plan, we will make true our cooperative intentions one after another. Dr.Antonio Bias said that “MBA Research in Present China” is a program that caters for the need of both countries and has great market prospective. Also, he proposed to hold more influential and various activities to advertise Confucius Institute for Business, and organize mutual visits between student groups and delegations of people from all walks of life. By doing this, these group members can act as unofficial ambassadors to publicize their own country, feel each other and know each other, then level up the mutual cultural and business exchanges. Besides, he promised that its school authority will provide all support that is needed in the development of Confucius Institute for Business.

Meanwhile, a series of speech tours named “Business China” was carried out in Brazil by UIBE Business Chinese Base. On invitation, vice president Zhang Xinmin, made a speech named “Risks of China’s Listed Companies: Corporate governance and over-financing” in 2 universities on April 23rd and 24th. In his speech, he analyzed the risks of China’s listed companies by taking the examples of GREE and TBEA which have investment in Brazil and interacted with the audience. In the two packed speeches, Mr. Zhang won fits of applause by his explanation of profound theories in simple terms, his accurate figures and his sincere and wise response. He encouraged his audience to learn Chinese and know China actively, and welcomed them to visit China if they have an opportunity to do that. Professor Su Yimei, the Chinese president of Confucius Institute of Sao Paulo State University, Thiago Bruz，the manager of the foreign counterpart and other staff accompanied him in the whole journey, and expressed their expectation to listen to more spectacular speeches by the experts from UIBE and the further cooperation between UIBE and FAAP Confucius Institute for Business.

The program of “MBA Research in Present China” carried out in Brazil is an important mission to the Brazil FAAP Confucius Institute for Business in our university this year. The negotiation our delegation carried out in Brazil is not only a significant move in promoting all Confucius Institute for Business in our university, but also is an essential part in carrying out the internationalization project of our university. It boosted the cultural exchange and commercial communication between China and Brazil, deepened the mutual perception between our university and FAAP Higher Education Center, and laid a solid foundation for our future deep cooperation.
